HALE PUAKO. This ocean side home sited on the seawall facing Mauna Kea Beach was designed for an investment broker from Japan and Hong Kong. It is in a "Neo Classical" vocabulary with elements of traditional Europe blended in a contemporary interpretation that is, at the same time, old and new. Of particular note are the unique columns on the porte' cochere and the custom gates that define the entry.
